Were you born on the cusp?

The answer to this question is No you most definitely were not born on the cusp and neither was anybody else.

The term cusp (which derives from the Latin for a spear or point) has become commonly used when a person does not have access to either an ephemeris, professional astrologer or an astrological website (e.g. http://www.astro.com) , so is unable to pinpoint which Sun sign they are.

This usually arises when somebody has their birthday on one of the following dates; 20th, 21st, or 22nd of a month, just as the Sun is about to leave one sign and move into the following sign.

For example how many times have you heard or had a conversation yourself something to the effect of ‘I don’t know whether I’m an Aries or a Taurus, in one magazine it says I’m an Aries but in a newspaper it says I am a Taurus’.

If you do have your birthday on one of those dates and would like clarification as to what your Sun sign is, perhaps consider the following;

  • Investing in a book called an Ephemeris which accurately lists the placement sign of the planets on any given day including the degree.
  • Consulting a professional astrologer
  • Visiting a reputable astrology website, e.g. astro.com

Hopefully in doing any of the above, the example used above would enable the person to discover if they are a Sun Sign Aries or a Sun Sign Taurus.
